Bullying

Children are remarkably resilient. Children are also remarkably fragile and delicate. Their hearts are soft. Being bullied threatens to attack a child’s worth, value and identity and it can lead to unhealthy coping mechanisms that haunt them into adulthood.

Children are too young to fully understand how to healthily respond to being attacked emotionally or physically. In our country today, bullying has reached epidemic proportions. If your child is being bullied, or is bullying others – do not stand by and let them sort it out by themselves. Get help. Go to your pastor or church, engage your child’s environment (teachers, other parents etc), talk to your child.
